Taking Microsoft exam in Hong Kong
You should take extra attention to the location. Hong Kong is a small city. You should be able to reach any test center within 1 hour. The problem is the Microsoft exam website will show up test centers far away from Hong Kong.
Here is the procedure to schedule an exam in Hong Kong.
- Login to Microsoft Certification Dashboard with your Microsoft account. If it is your first time, choose your email address (which is your login ID) carefully because you need to use the same ID for all the MS exam in life.
- Click “Schedule next exam”, choose your exam.
- Then select exam options.
Due to Covid-19, there is option to take exam at home. My friends said Hong Kong candidates will be monitored by staff from India or Japan. But I prefer taking an exam in test center because you don’t need to install their plugin in PC and turn on your camera to let someone monitor your home.

If you are not familiar with Hong Kong traffic, I suggest you pick one of test center in Mongkok or Mong Kok. Mongkok is in the center of Hong Kong. The test centers are very close to bus and railway (MTR) stops. You should be able to get to there by 1–2 minutes walk.
DO NOT pick the test centers in Shenzhen or Guangdong because it is outside Hong Kong.
DO NOT trust the blue flags in the map. Half of them are WRONG! Copy and paste the address to Google map to find the real location.
6. Pick a timeslot.
7. After complete the payment your exam is scheduled. You will then receive email about the exam details. The email should contain the test details and directions to your selected test center.
8. On the date of exam, remember to take the email (show your email content by smartphone or printout), your identity document (HKID or a passport), and the credit card you used for paying this exam (sometimes it is used for verification purpose).
